| Palestinian writer and poet Mohammed el-Kurd is one of the most prominent
activists currently writing about Palestinians living under occupation in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. Since 2021, he has been the Palestine correspondent for The Nation. His published writing includes Rifqa, a collection of his poetry, and Perfect Victims And the Politics of Appeal
which has just been published by Haymarket Books. He has been named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine. In conversation with journalist Dena Takuri this Thursday, July 24, at the First Congregational Church of Oakland, Mohammed el-Kurd will discuss the current state of Palestinian advocacy in the face of a relentless genocide.
